The Savannah Derby Devils became a league in 2006, and have been attracting more and more women every year. They are the only recreational women’s flat-track roller derby league in Savannah. The Devils operate under the rules and guidelines of the Womens’ Flat-Track Derby Association.
If you’ve never been to a roller derby bout, or have no idea what it’s about, you need to go. These tough ladies endure punches, kicks, scrapes, and jabs all season long while jamming and pivotting their way around their opponents. The Devils are definitely the team to watch in this league.
